In real terms seasonally adjusted GDP in the 1st quarter of 2009 declined by 3.6% from the previous quarter. Total domestic expenditure decreased by 3.3% in real terms over the same period. During the period household final consumption grew by 1.7%. This increase follows a decrease of 15% in the 4th quarter of 2008.
