The CPI in February 2009 rose by 0.51% from the preceding month (1.25% less housing cost). Over the last 12 months the CPI rose by 17.6% (CPI less housing cost rose by 21.0%) while the change over the last 3 months is equivalent to an annual inflation of 10.9% (14.4% inflation less housing cost). In Iceland, the HICP rose by 0.6% in January but fell by 0.6% in the EEA. Over the 12 months to January the HICP in Iceland rose by 21.9% and by 1.8% in the EEA.
