The CPI in April 2010 rose by 0.25% from the preceding month (rose by 0.26% less housing cost). Over the last 12 months the CPI rose by 8.3% (CPI less housing cost rose by 11.3%) while the change over the last 3 months is equivalent to an annual inflation of 8.1% (11.1% inflation less housing cost). In Iceland, the HICP rose by 0.93% in March and by 0.82% in the EEA. Over the 12 months to March the HICP in Iceland rose by 11.5% and by 1.9% in the EEA.
